Contest 01
Longest Drive
All Groups Love This

Longest Drive

Who's got the big stick?

Awarded to the golfer who hits the longest tee shot on each designated par-4 or par-5 holes. The ball must come to rest in the fairway to qualify — grip it and rip it, but keep it straight. Each player gets their shot during the round, and the longest measured drive at the end of the event wins.

  • Played on a designated par-4 or par-5 hole
  • Ball must come to rest in the fairway to qualify
  • Longest measured drive at day's end wins
  • Separate divisions for men and women available
🎯
Contest 02
Closest to the Pin
Par-3 Showdown

Closest to the Pin

How close can you get?

Played on a designated par-3 hole, golfers compete to hit their tee shot closest to the hole. Distance is measured once all players in the group have hit. The player whose ball finishes closest to the pin at the end of the event wins — one or two designated holes can be set up during an 18-hole round.

  • Played on one or two designated par-3 holes
  • Distance measured from ball to pin after all players hit
  • Closest ball at day's end wins
  • Marker stakes placed to track the leader all day
Contest 03
Longest Putt
Finish Strong

Longest Putt

Drain it when it counts.

Awarded to the golfer who makes the longest putt on a designated green — usually the final hole of the round. The putt must be holed in one continuous stroke without being conceded. Only putts made on the designated contest hole are eligible, and the longest successful putt recorded during the outing wins.

  • Typically played on the 18th green
  • Putt must be holed in one continuous stroke
  • No conceded putts — it has to drop
  • Longest successful putt of the day wins

How Your Group Plays the Round

Beyond individual contests, the format you choose shapes the entire experience.
Here are a few we recommend for a fun and competitive round of golf for mixed skill levels.

🤝
Format 01
The Scramble
Most Popular Format

The Scramble

The ultimate team format.

Fast-paced and high-energy — the best shot always wins. Every player hits, the team picks the best ball, and everyone plays from that spot. This continues for every shot, including putts, until the ball is in the hole.

  • Every player hits a tee shot on each hole
  • Team selects the best drive and plays from there
  • Repeat for every shot including putts
  • Low-pressure — great for mixed skill levels
Format 02
Best Ball
Four-Ball

Best Ball

Play your own, help your team.

Every golfer plays their own ball into the hole for the entire round. At the end of each hole, the lowest score among teammates is recorded as the team score. If one player struggles, a teammate can save the hole with a birdie or par.

  • Each golfer plays their own ball the full round
  • Lowest individual score on each hole counts for the team
  • Great for tracking personal performance
  • Teammates act as a safety net for tough holes
🐺
Format 03
Wolf
Best Foursome Game

Wolf

Strategy meets pressure on every hole.

Widely considered the best game for a foursome. Players rotate being the "Wolf" each hole. The Wolf tees off first, then must decide after each player hits whether to partner with them — or wait for the next shot. The Wolf can also go "Lone Wolf" (1 vs. 3) for higher stakes.

  • Players rotate being the Wolf each hole
  • Wolf decides immediately after each drive — partner or pass
  • Lone Wolf option: play 1 vs. 3 for double points
  • Creates shifting alliances and high-pressure decisions

Format 04
Bingo Bango Bongo
The Great Equalizer

Bingo Bango Bongo

Three points. Every hole. Anyone can win.

The ultimate equalizer — rewards specific achievements rather than just the lowest score, making it perfect for mixed skill levels. Three points are available on every hole: Bingo (first on the green), Bango (closest to the pin once all are on), and Bongo (first to hole out).

  • Bingo: first player to reach the green
  • Bango: closest to the pin once all balls are on the green
  • Bongo: first player to hole out
  • Strict order of play — furthest from hole hits first
🔄
Format 05
Sixes
Round Robin

Sixes

Play with everyone. Fresh start every six.

The 18-hole round is split into three 6-hole matches. Partners rotate every six holes so every player partners with everyone in the group. Usually played as Best Ball for each segment. If your partner is struggling, a fresh start is never more than a few holes away.

  • 18 holes split into three 6-hole segments
  • Partners rotate every six holes
  • Each player partners with everyone in the group
  • Scored as Best Ball per 6-hole match

Format 06
Skins
Winner Takes All

Skins

Classic. Competitive. Clutch.

A winner-takes-all format that's easy to track and highly competitive. Each hole is worth one skin. The player with the lowest outright score wins the skin. If there's a tie, no one wins — the skin carries over to the next hole. Carryovers can build into a massive prize won with one clutch putt.

  • Each hole worth one skin (point or dollar amount)
  • Lowest outright score on the hole wins the skin
  • Ties carry over — building the stakes
  • One clutch moment can win the whole pot
